Montana Board of Nursing: Scope of Practice for LPNs and RNs
Welcome to the Montana Board of Nursing's Scope of Practice for LPNs and RNs Module. In this module, participants obtain an understanding of how nursing has changed over the years; review professional conduct and unprofessional conduct as noted by the Montana Board of Nursing; understand the LPN standards related to the application of the nursing process, the standards for LPNs related to the responsibilities as a member of the health team, the standards for LPNs related to IV therapy, and the LPN prohibited IV therapies; obtain an understanding of the standards related to the Registered Nurse's responsibility to apply to the nursing process and the standards related to the Registered Nurse's responsibility as a member of the nursing profession; and explore the Decision-Making Framework Guidelines and how to apply them in nursing practice.
